The Holinger Anterior Commissure Laryngoscope incorporates the principle of the Yankauer post-nasal speculum. The distal end of the superior surface of the tube rises obliquely and flares laterally and the proximal portion drops obliquely. This increases the lumen and gives a larger field for work by elevating the tuberculum of the epiglottis.
